GGGarth producer. engineer. mixer.

Garth Richardson, known professionally as GGGarth, is a legendary Canadian record producer, engineer, and mixer with a career spanning over five decades. Garth’s father, Jack Richardson, C.M., a pioneering producer best known for his work with The Guess Who, raised Garth in the studio at an early age, where he developed an innate understanding of sound and production along with having a perfect ear.

Experienced

From chart-topping albums to career-defining debuts, I’ve been behind the board for over 50 years — and I’m just getting warmed up.

Talented

I bring technical precision and creative instinct to every project — because great records are equal parts science and soul.

Passionate

I live for the moments when the track clicks, the room catches fire, and the artist finds their sound.

Old-School Ethics. No-School Rules.

analog soul meets digital mind

GGGarth has been nominated for, and won, several Juno awards over the course of his career, with multiple nominations for the Jack Richardson Producer of the Year Award. This is of special importance, as the award is named in honour of GGGarth’s father, Jack Richardson, CM (considered the godfather of the Canadian recording industry).

Has worked in over 50 studios globally

It’s always exciting to be in a room with someone that’s talented and be able to record what they’re doing. When I’m away from it, I miss not being in the studio with a band, so I keep doing it.
